Jumu'ah (Arabic: الجمعة) means gathering. The prayer on Jumu'ah (Salat-ul-Jumu'ah) is the most important prayer of the week that performed collectively in the mosque. It replaces the midday prayer (Dhuhr) on this day and differs from it in that it consists of 2 instead of 4 rak'ah, and that the Qur'anic verses are recited aloud by the Imam (prayer leader). The primary peculiarity of the Friday prayer consists of a sermon (khutbah), which is held before the actual prayer (salah) by a preacher (khatib), usually the Imam of the mosque.
The Friday sermon (Khutbah) at the Islamic Centre is held in both Arabic and German. It takes place at 13:15 !
